Pilates South Austin is building a community of people who empower themselves first so they can actualize their dreams and be present to those they love most. Pilates South Austin is your studio, designed with your personal care in mind. We will work together setting goals and attaining the results that you desire in a professional and caring environment, creating a lifestyle that is supportive to your mind, body, and overall well-being.

Guided by your knowledgeable and friendly teachers, you will learn how to breathe and engage your body in new ways that will strengthen you from the inside out. Your body will become toned and supple. A strong and flexible body equals longevity and ease when doing all that you love in life! Our mission is to inspire our community with a transformative movement experience in an empowering environment. We are excited to offer affordable private and group classes at convenient times for men and women of all levels and ages. Your instructors come from a variety of movement backgrounds and will tailor a fitness program that meets your needs, whether you are recovering from an injury, at the top of your game, or anywhere in between.

We also offer pre-natal and postpartum Pilates to make sure your fitness and medical precautions, during and after pregnancy, are addressed!

Pilates South Austin offers the newest, top of the line equipment featuring Balanced Body Allegro 2 Reformers, a Cadillac, a GYROTONIC® Tower Expansion System, and much more!

About us…

Kari Levassar, Co-Owner

Kari LevassarKari began training at a young age for a career in dance. She studied through college at Oklahoma City University where she earned a BPA. Next, she was off to NYC to pursue her dream of working as a professional dancer. She has performed across the United States, and internationally in television, music videos, commercials, live events, and musical theater.

Kari was introduced to Pilates while living in New York City in 1997 and found the connection to her dancing instantly. She began taking Pilates on a regular basis to supplement her training and prevent injury; soon she noticed most of her chronic problems were no longer a major issue. The core connection and overall work was the perfect solution, which led her through an injury free career in dance. After becoming certified, working with master instructors, and having close communication with her clients she learned what a positive experience Pilates is for all body types, physical abilities, interests, and goals. Most recently, Kari was impressed with the positive results Pilates had on her body during pregnancy, labor, and recovery postpartum.

Through her dance career, certifications in Pilates, barre fitness, and her studies in Pilates for Pregnancy and Common Problems (injuries and rehabilitation), Kari has become a devoted advocate of whole body wellness through mindful movement.

Kari resides in South Austin with her husband Sam and daughter Ava.

Beth Dukleth, Co-Owner

Beth DuklethBeth Dukleth, a native of Houston, TX, has a degree in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. She worked throughout the U.S. and internationally as a professional dancer in concert dance and musical theatre venues and was also a Radio City Rockette for twelve years. While she loved her time dancing and teaching in NYC, she is thrilled to come home to TX!!!

She first became interested in Pilates to enhance her dancing. The amazing changes she saw in her body and strength inspired her to pursue professional Pilates certification! She is certified through Polestar and Sal Anthony’s Movement Salon in NYC. She has trained and taken continuing education at Movements Afoot, the Kane School, Physical Mind Institute, Pilates on Fifth, Pilates Studio City, and Pilates Reforming NY with Joe Pilate’s protégé Lolita San Miguel, with Doris Pasteur Hall and Deborah Lessen (students of Carola Trier, a protégé of Joseph Pilates), Kelly Kane, Lesley Powell, Irene Dowd, Brent Anderson, Karen Clippinger, Eric Franklin, and Ann Toran.

She has enjoyed teaching in New York City at Pilates Reforming New York, Project Dance Studio, Paris Health Club, privately in homes, and was guest faculty at the University of Michigan. She is also a member of the Pilates Method Alliance.
